We are delighted to be hosting our first TeachMeet at the Lanchester Interactive Archive
What is a TeachMeet?. Anyone can share great ideas they’ve trialled in their classrooms, a teaching resource they love, a great website, a classroom activity – whatever you like! You can ask questions or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm. It is about being engaged and inspired by our immediate colleagues and gaining a lot of networking to boot!
What can you do? You can just come along and be a member of the audience if you like, you can give a 2-4 minute nano-presentation on one of your favourite science teaching ideas, or you can give a 6 a minute micro-presentation on an aspect of classroom science teaching. You don’t have to be an ASE member, just enthusiastic about teaching,
Come to the Teach Meet and see the space for yourself and meet the Outreach team, who are available to come into schools and facilitate free workshops or book visits to the space itself for a unique trip.
There will be stands to peruse whilst you are having refreshments (IET, Science Magic, Medical Mavericks, Hands on Scvience, Bringing Science to Life, Primary Science Teaching Trust, Code Clubs…more to be confirmed) and presentations.
Tickets are free, but please do book ahead so that refreshments can be sorted – following the Eventbrite booking link
