ASE MIDSUMMER Madness Teach Meet-cross phase – Warwick

Smallpeice Automotive Engineering course

We’re delighted to be supporting the Smallpeice Trust’s week-long automotive engineering course for budding Year 9 students being hosted by Coventry University. During the course students get to design and develop their own project, giving them a taste of the challenges and rewards of automotive engineering including examining mechanical design and electronic systems to noise and vibration perception. Olton Library local history exhibition

This exhibition tells the story of Frederick Lanchester and his close links to Olton where he lived and worked testing his theories of flight with gliders that flew spectularly from nearby St Bernards Road. At the same time he was also testing an engine in what became Britain’s first motorboat that was destined to power the first all-British four-wheeled petrol motor car built in 1895.
